This site is dedicated to all the employees of the world who sit at their desks and silently fume every time the printer’s motor begins to hum. Or when they walk by the “recycling center” and notice chip wrappings and a half full coffee mixed in with office paper. Or the hungry worker, desperate for a quick bite, who is amazed that the cashier’s “norm” is to wrap, package and bag every single item, without asking if all that extra soon-to-be landfill waste is really necessary…
Anyhow, after years of silence, I thought I might as well try to start something (because silent fuming historically hasn’t caused much positive change!)
I envision this site to become a platform for sharing ideas and strategies to Green the workplace and your Workday. I intend to add to it a place for listing Green Conscience Eating Establishments (you know, the one’s that actually have a hole in the recycling box large enough to fit its most used packaging) and to give users the opportunity to be loyal to companies/franchises that actually care.
Anyhow, here’s to a new start!
